Meet our Borough’s Founders An Evening Walking Tour

Wednesday, August 21st, join us for an early evening cemetery walking tour that will highlight those New Oxford residents who led the charge for the village of New Oxford to become a Borough in 1874 and the growth that followed. The evening tour will present a profile of the New Oxford area community in the growth years following the conclusion of the Civil War, which set the stage for its town residents and businessmen to become a self-governing Borough. It was these circumstances and individuals that gave rise to many of the historic landmarks that now dot the New Oxford community landscape. This tour is FREE of charge and open to all. In the event of inclement weather, notice will be posted on this website.

Location: New Oxford Cemetery, 4971 York Rd, New Oxford, PA

Just West of the Borough on US 30

PARKING: Designated parking will be available on-site as well as along US 30 and, if necessary, within the adjoining lot of Amigs Auto Sales, on US 30.
